hello!

I’m Lauren and I’m so glad you’re here. You’ll find book recs as well as bits and pieces of my every day life.

It’s a funny thing to move halfway across the country and then figure out how to be halfway settled. We are in a furnished rental thanks to some friends which has been a HUGE help and honestly the most ideal scenario while we house hunt. That said, it also means that the majority of our things are packed away for the next bit and I’m realizing that there are a few things that would make the next stretch of time much more enjoyable!

this pretty laundry basket - several of ours were left behind in the move due to space constraints and I really wanted something I wouldn’t mind looking at either.

toddler straw cups - my almost two year old is pretty good about drinking out of an open cup but it would be NICE to have some with straws. We previously had a few “no spill” ones but honestly it felt like they never got quite clean enough/had crevices that weren’t the most accessible. I love that these are stainless steel! They aren’t totally spill proof but I’m okay with that. He can’t pull the straw out, they are dishwasher safe, and I’m happy.

toddler bowls - surprisingly we only had one bowl that we received as a baby shower gift. This is the same brand of plates (and silverware!) we have and I’ve loved them. The plates are top rack dishwasher safe and I feel good about how they’ve held up and don’t feel nervous to dishwash them.

snack container - the theme of my recent orders is definitely geared towards my toddler! He’s starting school two mornings a week and I’ve got to send both a snack and a lunch. I’ve loved our bentgo lunch container and the snack size is TOO SWEET. We’ve been practicing opening it independently the last few days.

week at a glance pad - my husband probably rolled his eyes when he saw this come in (I already have a planner and a phone calendar) BUT I like having something OUT that is in a highly visible place where we can both see it and add to it. This was highly influenced by one of my favorite Instagram follows which I believe also comes from my current audiobook!
